At first, it may seem a little daunting, but there are many ways to get to know a new place. You can stroll through the city, explore the neighborhoods, study its history, or even join social or sports clubs. All of these are great and have their benefits.
Another highly effective way to understand your new home is through food—yes, eating and drinking as a way to build that cultural connection, which can be so valuable.
At the Barcelona International Welcome Day, Delicious English was fortunate to be given the opportunity to lead a workshop that did just that. We held a session for newcomers to Barcelona at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, where they learned about the city and Catalonia through some of its amazing flavors. Participants were introduced to local products and tasted delicacies from the four corners of this region.
Cultural connection through food! Is there a better way to feel connected to this great city?
